iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer
Coffee and tea is a staple in my household. If they no longer existed, I am sure we would cease to exist. HA. Seriously, we LOVE coffee and tea. I have to admit, though, that I came into the single serve brewer world rather late. I started with a Mr. Coffee single serve brewer, then it ended up being recalled and I got a Keurig. Then recently, I got the iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer. Let me just tell you this is the best single serve brewer that I have ever used.
What I really like is that the iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer comes with an iCup reusable cup and a variety coffee pod starter pack. I already had a ton of k-cups because of my Keurig, but it was nice to be able to try some different coffees than what we normally get. The iCup reusable cup is amazing, too! I have a ton of those from the Keurig and I would imagine they are interchangeable. These are great because you can fill it with your favorite tea or coffee. I enjoy putting my loose-leaf teas in it or even opening tea bags and putting them in the iCup. On occasion, my mom will use it and put in one of her coffees, but not often, as she prefers to use K-Cups. My thing with the iCup is that it is somewhat tough to open. One of the times that I was trying to open it, I ended up yanking the top off. Granted it went right back on, but it still concerns me that it might not last too long.
There are so many things that I love about the iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer, but my favorite thing is the “dial-a-brew”. You can have a 4-ounce cup or a 12-ounce cup – it is all up to you! It goes in 1/2 increments. I typically use 8.5 ounces for my tea and it is the perfect amount. The 75-ounce water reservoir is great because you are not constantly refilling it. We can do multiple cups without having to add water to it.
There are blue lights on the iCoffee Opus that look neat when you are making a drink at night, when it is darker. It is as if you are getting a special drink each time. Hah. Don’t ask – I just think they are super cool looking.
The iCoffee Opus does take a little longer to warm up and brew, but for me, that is really no big deal. The trade off is that it is very quiet when all this is happening. My tea tastes so much more delicious with the iCoffee than any other type of brewing. I am completely impressed by the quality, taste and all the features of the iCoffee Opus.
Interested in seeing the iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer in action? Well, I did a video, which is very raw, unedited, but you can still see how it all works.
Overall, I have enjoyed using the iCoffee Opus Single Serve Brewer. Whether this is your first time with a single serve brewer or you have experience with one, I would most definitely recommend trying this one out. iCoffee has a ton of different brewers, aside from the Opus. They even have regular coffee pots!
