Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Speed Vacuum – NV680
If I won the lottery and it was a significant amount, the first thing I would do was to hire someone to clean my house. Seriously, I am not joking. I do not like cleaning, at all. No, I do not like a dirty home – I do end up cleaning my house, obviously. So many people say they enjoy cleaning and that it relaxes them. Anytime I hear that, I always think, “You’re crazy. Absolutely crazy.” Cleaning is boring and truly stresses me out.
For the past ten or so years, we have been using a Dyson vacuum to vacuum the entire house. And while it has been okay; I have noticed it has lost its suction as it once had. I should state that I have two fur babies – a long haired Golden Retriever dog, and a medium length Tiger Mix cat. They shed, A LOT. I have never seen a dog shed as much as mine does and not be bald. That means there is like mountains of hair on my floor, even if I have just vacuumed. The Dyson started struggling to get it vacuumed up and when it did, it was always stuck in the rollers. If I wanted my floors cleaned, I needed to cut the hair off the rollers at least once during a vacuuming.
More recently, I have been hearing about how great Shark vacuums are, however I truly did not take the time of the day to stop and look at one. I do not really know why – other than I had a vacuum that was still working (it turned on; removed the hair/dirt from the surface). Deciding it was time for a new vacuum, I reached out to Shark.
They were so kind to offer me their Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Speed Vacuum – NV680.

I have to admit, I was quite excited for the vacuum to arrive. I am not too sure why because that meant that I would have to clean to try it out. Anyways, the night it arrived, we put it together after dinner. For the most part, it was fairly easy to put together. The directions are a little confusing to follow, but if you look at the pictures, it should be easy to put together. A variety of tools and accessories come with the vacuum, so you will have to find a place to store all those.
Within the first five minutes of using the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Speed Vacuum, I was amazed and disgusted, all at the same time. Honestly, I did not realize how dirty my carpet was. Do not worry; I am not going to actually show you how dirty it was. This vacuum picked up years’ worth of dirt and hair that had been buried in my carpet. I am sure that I went over the same spot repeatedly and it kept picking up dirt and hair. It was just insane how much can stay in your carpet when your vacuum starts losing suction.
The Shark Vacuum is a solid vacuum; however, it does have a wobbly feel to it. Do not fret – it is not a quality issue at all. It can do some amazing things and it gets into those difficult spots that a regular vacuum cannot get into. It can practically flatten itself to get under coffee tables. Once you get use to the way the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Speed Vacuum feels and works, you will not even notice the “wobbly” feel.
The Shark Vacuum comes with:
•Dust-Away Pro Hard Floor Attachment with 1 Pad
•Pet Power Brush
So far, I have used the Duster Crevice and Pet Power Brush. The pet power brush has impressed me a lot! My cat, Keala, has multiple beds, however she only uses two, and they typically end up covered in cat hair. Taking the Pet Power Brush to the beds, I was shocked at how clean they came – they did not come completely clean, but there was definitely an improvement. The duster crevice works great along where the carpet meets the bottom of the wall. To be honest, I probably will never use the Dust-Away Pro Hard Floor Attachment. I vacuum my kitchen floors, which are not hardwood, but rather laminate. I do have a Swiffer WetJet, so I would probably use that if I wanted to truly “dust” and clean my floors. However, it is a nice attachment to have. The moment I saw the canister caddy, I burst out laughing – it looks like a racecar. Seriously, it does. It is a convenient accessory to have.
Since the Shark Vacuum arrived, my floor has been vacuumed a lot more than it usually would have been. I actually get excited when I can use the vacuum. I do not feel as if I need to go over the same spot numerous times – the Shark Vacuum gets it cleaned up the first time around. I am emptying the canister a lot more than I normally had to, but that is not really a big deal. It lets me see what is being picked up on the floor.
After trying out the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Speed Vacuum, I have to say that I am a Shark fan now! If you have never tried a Shark Vacuum, then I would highly recommend you purchase this one.
You can purchase the Shark Vacuum at Walmart.
